It was revealed that Georgina will return in the Season 3 finale. On February 16 2010. CW announced that Gossip Girl would return for a fourth season. This season was originally intended to have 24 episodes, but due to the season’s low ratings dipping to 1.76 million for the “The Hurt Locket” and 1.72 million for “The Lady Vanished” it was shortened for 22 episodes.
